Wilma J. Kramer, age 86, of Carbondale, KS, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Brookside Manor in Overbrook. Wilma was born February 6, 1935 in Ottawa the daughter of Andrew and Thelma (Snethen) O’Brien. Wilma grew up in Overbrook, attending school there. She married Edward Kramer October 24, 1952 in Topeka. He preceded her in death June 18, 2018. Wilma and Ed enjoyed square dancing all over the state and were members of the Friendship Squares. She was active with the United Methodist Women with the Overbrook United Methodist Church. Wilma and Ed enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Jerry O’Brien. She is survived by a son, Edwin Kramer of Carbondale; four daughters, Joycelyn (Sonny) Roney of Carbondale, Anne (Greg) Stout of Burlingame, Kathy (Jerry) Nydegger of Burlingame, and Diana (Richard) Baldry of Topeka; a brother, Donald O’Brien of Topeka; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the Overbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Friday afternoon from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. also at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com
