William "Billy" Theel

William “Billy” C. Theel, age 58, of Auburn passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at a Topeka hospital. Billy was born May 22, 1960 in Topeka the son of William and Carol Thompson Theel. He grew up in Topeka, graduating from Washburn Rural High School in 1978. He is survived by his father, Bill (Ree) Theel of Topeka; his mother, Carol Johnson of Auburn; a step daughter, Tracy (Joe) Venegas of Andover, KS; a brother, Randy (Catherine) Theel of Meriden; a sister, Becky (John) McDermot of Olathe; step sisters, Monica Wright, Rhonda Bonjour, Kathi Anderson and Sonja Pressgrove; step brothers, Carl Johnson Jr., B.J. Bonjour and Mitch Bonjour and grandchildren, Marisa and Joey. He was preceded in death by a step father, Carl Johnson and a step son, Aaron Roosevelt. Billy was confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Topeka.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Topeka. Visitation will be one hour before services from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Church. He will lie in state Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.
