Vicky Lee Simpson

Vicky Lee Simpson, age 64, of Augusta, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita after a long battle with cancer. Vicky was born April 29, 1953 in Topeka the daughter of Melvin and Lela Seig Abel. She married Donald Dean Simpson May 9, 1974 in Miami, OK.  Vicky worked as a dietician for many years. She is survived by her husband Don of over 43 years; two sons, Allen Farmer of Wichita and Raymond Simpson of New Bern, N.C.; two daughters, Mariann (Russell) Cranmer of Andover and Shelly (Seth) Shepherd of Augusta; a brother, Roy Abel of Norton; a sister, Cindy Bath of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before from 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
