Thomas D. McDonald

Thomas D. McDonald, 55, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026 at Midland Care Hospice in Topeka, Kansas.

Thomas born October 14, 1971. His parents are Cleo and Linda Noller McDonald.

He loved riding his Big Wheel, climbing his crabapple tree, playing with his toys, riding his tricycle and racing and collecting Hot Wheels.

Thomas attended Randolph Grade School. He was a Cub Scout and loved the Pinewood Derby.

In 1983 the family moved into their new home north of Silver Lake, Kansas. There he attended Silver Lake Grade School and High School playing the trombone and making projects in shop class.

He worked as a Topeka Zoo Explorer with Max and Tiffany, the gorillas, and the Elephants. He had a special bond with Max. He loved going to zoos, watching Nascar, putting models together and making things on his 3D printer.

He worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 27 years.

His very best friend for years, was his English Bulldog named Angus.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Zoo or to Midland Hospice.

Inurnment will be in the Cremation Garden at Memorial Park Cemetery. Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations and Funerals is assisting the family.
