Thelma McBurney, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. She was born in Oklahoma and had been a resident of Topeka for over 60 years. Thelma was a Direct Support Specialist for Sunflower Support in Topeka and was still working full time until just a few weeks ago. She enjoyed going for drives, and day trips. Thelma was a very independent person.
She was married to Charles McBurney, he preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include her grandson, Brandon Green of Topeka; son Bobby Joe Green of Topeka and her daughter-in-law Ning Lu.
Preceding her in death along with Charles and her parents.
Graveside services and interment will be held at Rochester Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Parker-Price & Davidson Cremation and Funeral Services is assisting the family.
