Terry L. Keller

Terry L. Keller, 72, of Silver Lake passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2025. He was born on January 6, 1953 at Excelsior Springs, Missouri the son of Clyde R. and Fanny P. Terry Keller. He was raised in Clay County, Missouri and graduated from high school at Kearney with the class of 1971. Terry went straight to work. He owned an auto repair shop at Lathrop. Later he owned his own truck line, hauling oil for over 10 years. Later he managed his mother’s restaurant, Fannie’s, in Platte City. He moved to Topeka and was a driver for Bettis Construction before taking a job at Capitol Trucking where he was in charge of all their trucks.

He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, dancing and riding his motorcycle.

He met and married Merle Brent and they were married in Topeka on August 31, 2011.

Terry is survived by his wife Merle Brent Keller of Silver Lake; children, Tad Keller, Travis Keller and Melissa German; step-children, Don Brent and wife Joyce, Debbie Brent, Dee Hayes and husband Ted, Darcia Brent; grandchildren include Thomas, Ethan, Clara, Ella, Logan and Lilly; 11 step grandchildren and spouses; 15 step great grandchildren; three siblings, Brad Shanks, Lori Oakson and Debi Brennan and step daughter-in-law, Anja Brent.

Terry was preceded in death by a stepson, David Brent and two siblings, Ronnie and Julie.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Topeka Bible Church, Mulvane Building, 1101 Mulvane, Topeka Ks 66604. Parker-Price and Davidson is assisting the family.
