Shirley Ann Petersen, 85, of Topeka passed away at Stormont-Vail Hospital on Friday, June 10, 2022. She was born January 26, 1937 at Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Dennis and Ethel Ann Collins Provaencha. She lived in Nebraska and lived at Hartington before moving to Topeka about 20 years ago. She was big on family. Shirley was also the best grandmother you could ever know. She loved to spend time and holidays with her family. She enjoyed bingo, casinos, Johnny Cash, Polkas, John Wayne movies, her Cockatiels, Angel Food Cake and dancing. Shirley's faith in God was very important to her. She knew she would be in heaven when her time came but she fought hard to stay with her family as long as she could. She prayed for her family and friends that they would know Jesus as she does. She will be waiting to greet us at the end of our journey with open arms.
