Sharon A. Rice

Sharon A. Rice, 65, of Topeka passed away on August 18, 2022.  She was born on November 13, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Buddy and Marty Largent.   She graduated from Topeka High School and later went to school to become a CMA.  She worked for many years at Payless Cashways and Stormont Vail in the billing office until she retired in 2020.  Sharon loved Christmas and Thanksgiving, having a Coke and doing word searches.

In 1978 she married LeRoy Rice, and they had 44 years together.  During that union, they had three daughters, Shannon Soden and husband Mitchell, Jamie Ralston, and Jessica Steenbock.

Along with the three girls, Sharon is survived by her husband LeRoy; five grandchildren, Madalyn, Cole, Kaden, Taylor and Raelyn; sister, Gayle Carver and husband Jack.

There was no bigger cheerleader for her family than Sharon was.  She will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Marty Largent and her in-laws, Moody and Mary Rice.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Topeka Baptist Church at 1:00 pm.   Inurnment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday evening at Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N.
