Sharon M. Gloyer, 80, of Topeka passed away on June 5, 2026. She was born March 21, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri the daughter of Oscar W. and Winifred M. Burrow Wilcox. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Springfield with the class of 1962. Sharon and Bruce moved to Topeka in 1965. She worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue over 10 years.

Sharon served as Church Librarian for her congregation. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She loved to read, travel, and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals.

On June 5, 1965 she was married to Bruce E. Gloyer in Springfield. Sharon and Bruce moved to Topeka that same year. She worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue over 10 years.

Survivors include her husband Bruce of their home in Topeka; children, Paul Gloyer and wife Connie of Tullahoma, TN, Phillip Gloyer and wife Sharon of Joplin, Missouri and Amy M. Smith of Topeka; four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; her sister, Becky Frakes and husband Jack also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Winifred and her two brothers, Ronald Wilcox and Bill Wilcox.

The family will receive friends at Parker-Price and Davidson on Wednesday, June 17th beginning at 10:00 am followed by funeral services which will start at 11:00 am. The family will have private graveside services where Mrs. Gloyer will be laid to rest at Half-Day Cemetery later that same day. www.ppdfuneral.com
