Robert "Mike" Brown

Robert “Mike” Brown, 80, of Topeka passed away on Saturday, October 21st, 2023. Mike was born to Robert & Bonita (Belcher) Brown in Holton, Kansas on March 23rd, 1943. He later graduated from Horton High School, and would study at Washburn University. In 1963, Mike married Dorothy Morfitt, they later divorced. They had one child.

Mike worked at Santa Fe Railroad for over 20 years. He also worked for Yellow Freight, retiring in 1999. Mike was a member of the Carbondale Jaycees. He will be remembered for his craftsmanship in flipping houses, and his love of working on classic cars. He had a prized 57 Thunderbird. Away from work, Mike enjoyed working on his small farm, growing soybeans and wheat.

Preceding Mike in passing are his parents; Step-Brother Paul Snyder, and Sister Sherrie Snyder. He is survived by his fiancé, Darcy Grace of Topeka; and his Son, Greg Brown (Marlee) of Topeka.

Visitation will take place at 1pm on Thursday, November 2nd, at Davidson Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 2pm. Memorial Contributions can be made to The Helping Hands Human Society.
