Richard "Charles" Taylor, 57, of Topeka, passed away on October 23, 2022 at his home.

Charles was born on January 22, 1965 to Richard and Guverna Taylor in Topeka, Kansas. Later in life Charles was raised by his father Richard and Dorothy Taylor.
He graduated from Topeka High School in 1983. After graduation, Charles served in the United States Navy for 7 1/2 years until he was honorably discharged.

Charles worked as a Supervisor for KNI for over 20 years.

On November 5, 2001 he married Lori Taylor (Rice) in Topeka.

Charles loved to play games such as World of War Craft, D&D, and Pirates. He was in a bowling league with his family and friends. He loved to go to different fairs and festivals and collect trinkets he would find. Charles was a lover of all his fur babies. He knew no stranger. Charles could strike up a conversation with anyone and talk for hours. He was also always helping people in need at any time. He will be missed dearly by all of his family, friends, and animals.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lori; daughters, Shelby (Reilly Ousdahl) Rouse and Cheyenne (Austin Beine) Rouse; brother, Bill (Siobhan) Taylor; grandchild, Grayson Ousdahl; mother-in-law, Delta Rice and brother-in-law, Shaun Rice.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Guverna Taylor, step mother, Dorothy Taylor, and his brother Robert Taylor.

Visitation will be held on November 2, 2022 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Private family inurnment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604-3720.
