Randal “Randy” A. Peavler, age 69, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the University of Kansas, St. Francis Campus. Randy was born August 31, 1952 in Topeka the son of Albert Henry and Dorothy Joan (Bouton) Peavler. He grew up in Topeka, graduating from Highland Park High School and later graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Business degree. He married Debra J. Trude October 7, 1978 in Perry, KS. When Randy was younger, he worked at the Topeka 7-Up Bottling Company and then Montgomery Wards. He was the service manager at Lincoln Mercury in Topeka from 1978 until 2006. He worked at Chadwell’s Automotive in Meriden from 2007 – 2009. He recently worked at Capital City Nissan in the service department since 2009. Randy was a member of the Ford Performance Club. He restored several vehicles with his sons over the years. He was active in Scouts with his son, Jason. Randy enjoyed camping with family and friends at various lakes.
Randy is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his wife, Debra of over 42 years; two sons, Jason (Kristina) Peavler of Meriden and Jarren Peavler of Topeka; and a granddaughter, Shelby, who he loved spoiling.
Memorial gathering will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com
