Paul Holland

July 27, 1941 — May 7, 2025

Topeka, Kansas

Paul Holland, a beloved husband, father, and treasured member of our community, journeyed to his eternal home on May 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Topeka, Kansas. Born on July 27, 1941, in Endicott, New York, Paul lived a life rich in faith, service, and joyous gatherings, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

From the early days of his education at Endicott High School, Paul's tenacity and spirit shone bright. After graduating, he heeded the call of duty, enlisting in the United States Air Force where he served honorably, working on the flight line. His years of dedicated work continued at Adams Business Forms, where he faithfully engaged as a machinist for an inspiring 43 years, showcasing his commitment to his craft and to those around him.

Paul was a man whose personality was as warm as his famous apple pie and spaghetti dinners, which brought friends and family together to share laughter and love. He was known for his ornery yet outgoing disposition, a very sweet guy who had a profound impact on countless lives. As an elder at Countryside Christian Church, he mentored many young men, nurturing their faith and guiding them in their spiritual journeys. His love for his church family was evident in his dedication to visiting nursing homes and taking communion to the elderly, revealing a heart that overflowed with compassion and kindness.

Paul's passion for life extended beyond the church walls. He cherished the outdoors, reveling in fishing and hunting adventures. A proud member of both the NRA and American Legion Post 400, Paul integrated his love of nature with a profound appreciation for community and camaraderie. He enjoyed simple pleasures such as going to garage sales with his wife, sipping Café Vienna coffee, and indulging in a good buffet.

He shared his life with Ivah (Holmes) Holland, his beloved wife, whom he married on April 22, 1995, at Countryside Christian Church in Topeka. Together, they created a loving home filled with joy and mutual respect. He is also survived by his son Kirk Holland and his stepchildren Lucy (Greg) Brill and Nick (Shawna) Cornelison. The legacy of love continues through his grandchildren, Nicole Cornelison, Ashton Cornelison, and Molly Brill, and step granddaughter, Jerzie Smutzler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who carry forward his spirit. He also leaves behind his treasured friend, Bob Brown as well his other close friends.

Paul now joins the heavenly ranks of those who have gone before him, including his father, Gerald Paul Holland Sr., and his mother, Naomi Ruth (Hibbs) Holland. In this time of remembrance and reflection, we hold fast to the cherished memories of his humor, kindness, and unwavering faith.
