Patty Burks, a beloved soul and devoted mother, daughter, wife, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 27, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas, where she would go on to touch the lives of many through her warmth and vibrant spirit.

A graduate of Seaman High School in 1963, Patty continued her education at Clarks Business School and pursued her passion for beauty by attending Cosmetology School. For her entire professional life, she was a self-employed cosmetologist, dedicating herself to making others feel beautiful while building lasting relationships with her clients.

Patty's outgoing personality shone brightly, and she was known for her love of people. She was a caring individual who cherished her faith, finding joy in the community at Northland Christian Church and the welcoming atmosphere of Central Park Christian Church. Family meant the world to her, and her unwavering love was evident in every aspect of her life. She delighted in attending her grandchildren's sporting events and cheering on her grandson at their races, creating cherished memories that her family will carry with them forever. Campouts with her husband and family were a treasured tradition, where laughter and love filled the air, alongside playtime with her adoring dog, Snickers.

Patty is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Burks, whom she married on August 7, 1964, in Topeka. Together, they built a life filled with love and companionship. She leaves behind her daughter Laurie (Robert) Uhler and her son Jeff (Becky) Burks, who were blessed with a mother that constantly showed her devotion and care. Patty's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Collier, Justin (Ericah) Uhler, Wyatt Burks, and Kendyl Burks, as well as her great-grandchildren, Carter Collier, Baker Collier, Hugh Uhler, and Whitten Uhler. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Jeannine Kranz and Lana Miller, whose bond with Patty was a source of support and love throughout her life.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, George Harrold and Noami (Stauffer) Harrold, as well as her siblings, Verna Greeson, Ginny Means, and Larry Harrold. While their absence leaves a void, the love they shared and the shared memories will continue to nurture those left behind.

A visitation will be held on September 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life starting at 11:00 AM at Parker-Price & Davidson, located at 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. The family invites all who knew and loved Patty to join them in honoring a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to love, kindness, and faith. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.
