Nicholas M. Crump, 27 of Silver Lake passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, and he is now in the arms of Jesus. Nicholas was born March 18, 1999, in Topeka the son of Jake and Mendy Crump. Nicholas came into this world with a full head of hair and a captivating personality! He was an Amazing Son and a loving brother. Nicholas grew up in the Silver Lake area and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 2018.
Nicholas was an Independent Artist who loved to capture the magnificence of God’s creatures by drawing amazing pieces. He had many admirers, who zapped into his talent to create one of a kind works of art. While he was creating those works of art, he loved to listen to a variety of different types of music, from Country, Metal to Irish jigs. Whatever inspired him, that was what drove his inspirations.
Aside from his joy of being an artist, Nicholas had developed a love for dinosaurs and wanted to become a Paleontologist.
Nicholas was drawn to pugs at a young age and earned the title of “The Pug Daddy of Northeast Kansas.” One of his latest pugs was also his companion who was with him until the end. That Pug named PJ, was also known as “Human Resources aka HR” because he judged all care that was delivered toward Nicholas with deep scrutiny.
Nicholas was the best kind of friend and always had an honest opinion to share. He had a fantastic sense of humor and a wealth of wisdom. Nicholas had heart of gold and was always ready to help those in need. Even though he could not eat, he was a true foody at heart. He was an extreme gamer, technical wizard, our purchasing agent, and the head of acquisitions. He was truly a Renaissance man.
He is survived by his mother and father, Mendy and Jake Crump of Silver Lake, Kansas; his sister Abby Crump of the home; his brother Austin (Becca) Crump Topeka, Kansas; Paternal Grandparents Mike and Barbara Crump Silver Lake; Maternal Grandparents Ted and Carrie Schmid Lorraine, Kansas; cousin, Joseph O'Malley of Scammon, Kansas, who was more like a brother; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday evening May 7th 2026, at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremation and Funerals, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas 66608. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 8, 2026 at, Parker-Price and Davidson. Nicholas will be laid to rest at Prairie Home Cemetery.
