Michael E. Sleep

Michael (Mike) Eugene Sleep (PamPaw) was born October 5,1957 in St. Johnsbury Vermont to Lemuel and Irene Sleep. He passed away quietly on April 29th, 2026, surrounded by his family and was 68 years old.

Mike spent his life being a very loud and opinionated man. He fiercely loved his wife kids’ grandbabies great grandbabies and fur babies. He was the person you could call anytime day or night if you needed him, he would show up even if you hadn't spoken to him in forever or he had to drive through a blizzard you could count on him to be there. He knew a lot about fixing cars that you could call him from a different state and he could help you fix your car over the phone. He loved to watch old TV shows and westerns. He was the world's biggest Chiefs fan since 1968 and he loved his country.

Mike made his living doing many different jobs throughout his life. His passion was being an over the road truck driver. Mike was extremely protective of all his fur babies, especially BB, his constant companion. He was preceded in death by his other fur babies Chaos, Ruger, and Agnes.

Mike was survived by his wife Diane Sleep, his children: Suzie Belle (Jason), Katrina Mae (Caleb), Levon Eugene (Jennifer), Lucus Sleep (Sherie), Kahla Ranae (Lee), Laura Lee, Michelle Renee (Chris) and Patrick Charles. His grandbabies; Shawna Marie, Zachary James, Jade Michelle (Alex), Eric Lee, Mia Marie, James Davon, Jason Dean, Squidward, Michael Robert, Keiara Marie, Annabelle Lynn, Lillyin Belle, Olivia Grace, Lucus Michael, Lucamiah Lucelle, Zacaria Jacob and Google. His great grandbabies; Ella Lou, Jacob Orlando Jr and Scarlett Renee and 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Lemuel and Irene, 3 brothers Gary, Robert and Lemuel III, 2 sisters Flori, and Sherry and 3 grandbabies Jacob Orlando Sr., Sophie Rain and Izaak Lee.

There will be a viewing for Mike at Parker Price on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at 10:00 am followed by services at Rochester Cemetery at 11am.
