Michael W. Rollins, 66, of Topeka passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. He was born on August 12, 1958, in Topeka. Michael moved to Oklahoma and attended school there. He was a very good athlete at Perry, Oklahoma, wrestling and track were his sports. He attended the Olympic style games in Mexico and finished fourth in several events. Michael was at the ocean while there and saved a young girl from drowning. He moved back to Topeka and attended Highland Park High School where he was a member of the wrestling team and played baseball. He graduated in 1977. He was a member of the Kickapoo Nation. At the age of 20 he went to work at the State Office Building. He later worked at Reser’s Fine Food Co. in Topeka, Prairie Band Casino and was a roofer for a period of time. Michael also enjoyed bowling and attending pow-wows.
Survivors include his; mother, Ardena D. McGlaslin of Topeka; companion, Geneva Nocktonick; daughters, Briana Nocktonick-Hymon and husband Robert of Topeka and Maleka Noyes in Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jayla Nocktonick-Hymon, Brielle Nocktonick-Hymon, Robert Hymon, Jr., Ezra Hymon, Abra Hocktonick-Hymon, and Jireh Hyman; siblings, Troy Komacheet of Topeka, Travis Komacheet and wife Kristy in Oklahoma and Melody Oxy and husband Eric of Topeka.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations, Funeral and Receptions, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas 66608. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12th at Parker-Price and Davidson. Interment will follow in Topeka Cemetery. ppdfuneral.com
