Michael Lee Jones

Michael Lee Jones, 68, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026.

He was born November 8, 1957, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Ronald Lee and Ella Mae (Alfrey) Jones.

Michael was a jack of all trades, he worked with Jones Hauling and Mountaintop Firewood for many years. He refurbished and sold antiques.

Survivors include his son, Jacob (Jessica) Jones; daughter, Michelle (Silverio) Pacheco; and sister, Linda (Jones) Bishop and her partner Bob; grandchildren, Lupita, River and Silverio Michael Pacheco; nephews, Dillon (Mandy) Bishop, Cody Bishop; great niece and nephew, Aubrey and Jackson Bishop; and father Ronald L. Jones.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Mae Jones.

Michael loved his family and looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan especially if the KC Chiefs or KU Basketball was on. You could always find him working with his hands whether it was refurbishing antiques, wood working, or hauling and moving various things. He would attend many auctions which funded many projects in his antique business. He had a kind heart and loved animals even had a few precious cats and many chickens and roosters. He enjoyed getting out into the world and took many trips to the mountains to fish, metal detect, or just enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. He even brought the love of nature to his own home building his own garden.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2026 at the Parker-Price & Davidson, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. A reception will follow from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jacob Jones addressed to Envista Credit Union, to help with the funeral expenses.
