Max E. Brammell passed peacefully and went home to our Lord, August 23, 2017. He was 83. He was born on January 20, 1934 in Ozawkie, Kansas to Guy and Bessie Brammell. Max was the youngest of 12 siblings growing up in Ozawkie, home of the Ozawkie Coyotes. Max worked at the Goodyear Plant in Topeka for 47 years where he made many friends and a good living. He always loved his dogs, Tip, Buddy, Lady, Rusty, and most recently, Boomer and his sidekick cat, Stretch. Over the years Max was a gentlemen farmer who dearly loved his cattle, it will forever be in his blood.
Max is preceded in death by both parents, three brothers and seven sisters.
Max is survived by one sister, Madine of Thermopolis, Wyoming; four children, Dan (Kathy) Brammell of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Randy (Toni) Brammell of Berryton, Kansas, Gayle (Rudy) Bachmann of Howell, Michigan, Tina (Bruce) Fisher of Prescott, Arizona; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom all will miss him deeply. Max spent his final days in the hands of the Brookside Retirement Community.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home at 1035 N Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Visitation will be one hour prior, starting at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Ozawkie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the U.S. Cattlemen’s Association at www.uscattlemen.org.
