Mary E. Yoder

Mary E. Yoder, 93, of Topeka passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021.   She was born August 14, 1928 on a farm west of Elmont the daughter of Carl and Emma Stovall Ausherman.   Mary graduated from Seaman High School in 1945.  She was married to Harley Yoder on July 6, 1985.   She had attended Northland Christian Church and Highland Heights Christian Church in Topeka.

Survivors include her son Michael (Pam) Smith of Linwood; two daughters, Anita (Steve) Freeman of Tecumseh and Jeannette (James) Wilson of Topeka; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Fussenegger, Thelma Shubkagel and her brother, Harold Ausherman.  Her twin, Grace Runkle also died on November 15 four hours after Mary.  They entered this world together, they left this world together, always TWINNING.

She will lie in state at Davidson Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, November 19.   The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday morning at the funeral home.  Private family graveside services will be later at Prairie Home Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society.   To leave the family a message, please visit www.davidsonfuneral.com.
