Mary Lou Williams, age 100, of Topeka passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Homestead of Topeka.
Mary Lou was born Sept. 15, 1924 in Holton , Ks, the daughter of Merle and Goldie Frazey.
She graduated from Holton High School in 1942, living in Topeka most of her life.
She married Ford L Williams in July 1943, in Wichita Falls, Tx., where they were stationed while in the Army Air Corps. They were married 72 years.
She worked for Kaw Valley Bank and Trust, in No. Topeka, for 43 yrs, where she started her banking career in bookkeeping and worked her way up to becoming a Vice President for many years, until her retirement in Oct of 2006. After retirement Mary Lou was a volunteer from 2007 to 2019 logging in 4414 hours with Stormont Vail Hospital.
Although Mary Lou loved her position at the bank, she was a dedicated wife, Mother, and grandmother, a job she was most proud of. She loved, and looked after, her family, first and foremost.
Survivors include a son, Mike (Sheila) Williams, of Topeka; a daughter, Mary Lynne Adkins of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a grandson, Chad M Williams (Michelle) of Topeka; two great grandsons, Zachary and Kenneth.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ford and a sister, Betty Shelby.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 31,2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parker Price Davidson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. Interment will be at the Holton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the local Alzheimer/Dementia organization.
