Mary R Manis

Mary Myers Manis, 92, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

She was born March 22, 1934, in Mayetta, Kansas, the daughter of Claude and Minnie (Delge) Myers. She graduated from Lecompton High School. She was part of the Pottawatomie Tribe.

Mary married Melvin L. Manis on May 3, 1952 in Kansas City, KS.

Mary was employed by Jostens as a group leader for nearly 30 years until her retirement.

Mary was an avid cat lover. She also enjoyed cooking and canning. Melvin and Mary enjoyed dancing, going to ball games, and playing cards.

She is survived by her children Ken (Susan) Manis, Mike (Janet) Manis, Brad Manis; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Blondie Andrew; brother, Claude Myers , Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Manis; son, Terry W. Manis; her parents; sisters, Claudette Oldman and Cathy Flood.

A Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am., Monday, October 19, 2026 at the Parker-Price & Davidson Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Her family will greet friends and family one hour prior to service. She will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Gardens following the service. In her honor, memorial contributions may be made to the CAT Association of Topeka 1719 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604 , Midland Care 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606, and Oakland Church of the Nazerene at 939 NE Oakland Ave Topeka, KS 66616.
