Marvin Lee Mcclendon

Marvin McClendon, of Westphalia, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. He was born September 17, 1932 to Robert and Louise Piquard McClendon. Marvin married Lillie M. McClendon on June 6, 1953 at the Westport Presbyterian Church in Kansas City. They lived in Prairie Village after Marvin got out of the Air Force. They moved to their farm near Westphalia, Lillie’s home-town, in 1974.
He is survived by his son, Robert McClendon and wife Sharon of Topeka; grandchildren, Jason McClendon and wife Angela of Des Moines, Iowa, and Brett McClendon and wife Stacy of Silver Lake, Kansas, Crystal White and husband Charles in New York, and Jesse Swoyer and wife Tasha of Topeka; 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
Marvin is preceded in death by both of his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association and sent in care of the funeral home.
