Martha Ann Huntsman

Martha Ann Huntsman, age 87, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at her home in Topeka. Martha was born September 12, 1930 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the daughter of Edward and Ruth Carroll Kennedy. She married Oscar Huntsman May 18, 1962 in Tulsa, OK. He preceded her in death February 7, 1995. Martha worked for the State of Kansas in the Division of Printing department for over 26 years. She was a member of the South Knollwood Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #400. She was preceded in death by a son, Ron Huntsman, a great granddaughter, Emily Ison, a brother, Jackie Lee Kennedy and a sister, Betty Jean McBride. She is survived by a son, Oscar “Odie” (Michelle) Huntsman Jr. of Topeka; three daughters, Tonia (Jack) Ison of Topeka, Dale Ann (Rick) Garcia of Topeka and Linda Trimpe of Houston, TX; two brothers, Delbert (Greta) Kennedy of Sun City, AZ and Sherman (Joan) Kennedy of Vincennes, IN; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the South Knollwood Baptist Church. She will lie in state Monday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Knollwood Baptist Church and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
