Margaret M. Shrimplin

Margaret Marie Shrimplin, 85, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 22, 2026.

Margaret was born May 11, 1941, in Carbondale, Colorado, to Earl F. and Ruby M. Reser Fulton. She attended Topeka High School and later served as the Food Service Manager at French Junior High School for 25 years.

Margaret married Leslie W. Shrimplin on September 6, 1958, at Seward Avenue Baptist Church. They shared 62 years together until his passing in 2021.

She is survived by her children, Richard W. Shrimplin (Lynne), Deann M. Hetrick (Keith), Larry D. Shrimplin and, Sheila L. Spangler (Jeff), her sister, Donna L. Jordan (Ken); along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie L. Shrimplin, and her brother, Francis E. Fulton.

Margaret found joy in life’s simple pleasures - painting ceramics, baking, and laughing with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her friends at McCrite.

Graveside inurnment services will be held at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Parker-Price and Davidson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. www.ppdfuneral.com
