Linda Kay Newman

Linda Kay Newman, age 69, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka.  Linda was born December 4, 1952 in Topeka the daughter of Raymond and Ann (Smith) Newman.  She worked at Hallmark Cards in Topeka, Midland Hospice Care, Topeka Collegiate School, and retired from Shawnee County Parks and Recreation in Maintenance.  Linda enjoyed playing softball for many years and playing poker with her family and friends and at the VFW.  She also enjoyed playing in poker tournaments.

She is survived by a brother, Michael Newman, of Bullhead City, AZ and a sister, Patricia Cumpton-Newman of Topeka.  She was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Newman, Jr.  and Larry Newman; and a sister, Carol Ann Elliott-Carnes.

Linda’s wishes were to donate her body for medical research.  No immediate services are scheduled.
