Linda Sue Degand

Linda S. Degand, age 71, of Topeka, passed away at her home, Monday, August 8, 2022.  Linda was born January 1, 1951 in Topeka.  Linda married Phillip Degand February 14, 1970.  Linda worked for several nursing homes in Topeka.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a member of the Alders Society.  She enjoyed quilting and going to the casinos.  She also enjoyed playing Bingo.  She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Burkhart.  She is survived by her husband, Phillip of over 52 years; three sons, William J. Degand, Phillip “Pete” Degand II and Brett Degand, all of Topeka; two daughters, Wendy Goodman and Jessica Degand, both of Topeka; two sisters, Connie Wilson and Barbara Hannah; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She will lie in state from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 Thursday, also at the funeral home.  Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com.
