Larry D. Hinton, 64, of Topeka passed away on June 22, 2026. He was born August 11, 1961. Larry was raised at Holton and attended Holton High School where he ran cross country, later attended Seaman High School. After attending school, he and began a long and successful career working in the Topeka area. He worked the family business Perine Iron Works, later was an over-the-Road trucker and for Waste Management. He was employed at Industrial Chrome as a welder where he had a long career prior to retiring earlier this year.
He enjoyed fishing with his grandson, riding his motorcycle, and mushroom hunting. He was a member of ABATE.
He is survived by his partner, Melinda Sneary of Topeka; mother, Elizabeth Fisher of Topeka; daughters, Jessica Young and Jerrica Hinton both of Topeka; step-children, Terry Koehn and Melissa Leonard; grandchildren, Alan Leonard III, Dale Koehn and Reba Leonard all of Topeka, Breanna Juarez of Wichita, Tatiana Gehrke, Elektria Hinton, Jhonpaul Gager and Cecila Corder all of Topeka; and siblings, Duane A. Hinton of Tecumseh and sister Linda S. Hinton of Topeka.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Gene A. Hinton.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas 66606. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
