Larry D. Hinton

Larry D. Hinton, 64, of Topeka passed away on June 22, 2026. He was born August 11, 1961. Larry was raised at Holton and attended Holton High School where he ran cross country. He moved to Topeka shortly after graduating and began a long a successful career working in the Topeka area. He worked the family business Perine Iron Works, was an over-the-Road trucker and for Waste Management. He was employed at Industrial Chrome as a welder where he had a long career prior to retiring earlier this year.

He enjoyed fishing with his grandson, riding his bike, and mushroom hunting. He was a member of ABATE.

He is survived by his partner, Melinda Sneary of Topeka; daughters, Jessica Young and Jerrica Hinton; grandchildren, Alan Leonard III, Dale Koehn and Reba Leonard all of Topeka, Breanna in Wichita, Tatiana Gerkhe, Elektria Hinton, Jhonpaul Gager and Cecila Corder and siblings, Duane A. Hinton and sister Linda S. Hinton.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas 66606. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
