Larry Dean Mack

Larry Dean Mack, age 60, of Topeka, passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2021 at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis campus.

He was born September 1, 1960 at Stormont Vail in Topeka, the son of Rebecca A Mack. He worked for Carlson Utility, LC in Topeka as a pipelineman and multiple jobs.

Larry fought and survived pancreatic cancer and he knew that quitting was not an option. He had a passion for refurbishing motorcycles and received an award for his accomplishment.  Larry was a member of ABATE.  He would ride until sundown and occasionally need to call for backup. He was a collector of Harley Davidson memorabilia. He also enjoyed going to the pond for fishing and relaxation. However, he was known for a quick wit, being a great listener and his free spirit.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca A. Mack; his wife, Roberta Mack;  his brothers, Robert and Marvin Mack, nieces Roberta L. Mack and April D. Cobos.

He is survived by three sons, Anthony Dean Mack of Lawrence, Kansas, Kenneth Wayne Mack and wife Morgan of McLouth, Kansas and Larry Robert Mack of Tonganoxie, Kansas; grandchildren, Liam, Zander, Alivia and Lillian; five siblings, Linda S. Cobos (Patrick) of Topeka, Albert Mack (Debbie) of Topeka, Leslie C. Mack of Topeka, Terry W. Mack (Carla) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Cynthia Mack of Topeka, and several nieces and nephews. But one great niece, Leslie Oates of Topeka, was the apple of his eye.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Inurnment will follow at Topeka Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening, August 20, 2021 at Davidson Funeral Home.  Due to Covid-19 protocols, the family would like everyone to wear masks.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.  davidsonfuneral.com
