It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lafaele "Ralph" Paselio, who departed this life on May 1, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Born on July 2, 1955, in Lauli'I, American Samoa, Ralph’s journey through life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments which he shared with those around him.
Ralph was not only a beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, grandfather and father but also a true friend to many. He will be remembered for his vivacious spirit and a heart full of kindness. Ralph found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing on sunny afternoons, cheering on his favorite football team, the Chiefs, and escaping into enthralling stories with his favorite TV shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break, and Heartland. He adored being surrounded by family, holding deep affection for his son Anthony, his grandson Quentin, and his surviving sister Maria Losa Kolone. His legacy as everyone's favorite uncle will live on in the hearts of many nieces and nephews who experienced his boundless love and infectious laughter.
Ralph is reunited in death with his loving parents, Leatisua and So'i (Faitau) Paselio, who instilled in him the values of love and community. He also joins his beloved wife, Rhonda Paselio, and siblings, including Malia Otila Naite Tuvale, Avaolagi Paselio, Antonina Umu, Paselio Paselio Jr., Katerina Sitara Tuiteleleapaga, and John Paselio, who have all contributed to his rich family tapestry.
His spirit will continue to resonate through the cherished memories he created with those who loved him most. Ralph leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and an appreciation for life's little moments, teaching us all to value family above all else.
Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608. Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Shawnee Center Cemetery in Wakarusa, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Orphaned Starfish Foundation, 55 Exchange Pl #402, New York, NY 10005.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that Ralph's spirit lives on in the laughter and love of his family, forever reminding us of those precious moments that make life worth living.
