Kenneth David Wright

Kenneth David Wright, 75, of Perry, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022.

He was born October 20, 1946, in La Porte, Indiana the son of Grover Kenneth Wright and Dorothy (McCammon) and Roy Daugherty. He was a graduate of Hutsonville High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Kenneth was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, for 38 years, retiring in 2007.

Kenneth married Beverly Spreer on July 12, 1969 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on September 15, 2019. Survivors include two children, Stefanie (Brad) Shackelford, Lecompton and Shannon (Kerri) Wright, Perry; five grandchildren, Austin (Halsten), Kyle (Claire), and Corey Shackelford and Allyson and Mason Wright; and his brother, Bob (Sue) Wright of Sedalia, MO. Also survived by Kenneth are three half-sisters, Penny Wright (Steven Gurney), of Sidney, MT, Pam (Jeff) Olheiser, of Dickinson, ND, and Val (Greg) Lutz, of Dickinson, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his spouse of 50 years, Beverly (Spreer) Wright.

Kenneth enjoyed fishing, watching KU basketball, and spending time with his grandkids. Kenneth & Beverly enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, stopping at casinos. They also enjoyed cruises, with Hawaii being a favorite destination.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 9th, at Parker Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka.

The service will be live streamed from the funeral home.
