Kenneth James Locke, 83, of Topeka passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was born November 8, 1942, in Altadena California the son of James H. and Dora E. (Cook) Locke. His family moved to Kansas. He graduated from Manhattan High School in 1960. Kenneth later attended Kansas State University in Manhattan.

He had a love for photography from a young age and took photos for the high school featured in the Valley Falls Vindicator. He also enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader.

Kenneth served in the Kansas National Guard. His love of photography led to a career as an Ad Manager at Wolfe’s Camera in Topeka for over 40 years.

He was married to Lynette Mathias they had two sons together. Kenneth and Lynette later divorced. He later married Beverly Dutton on February 16, 2008, in Topeka. She passed January 17, 2021.

Survivors include his sons, Ryan Locke and wife Amber and their three children, Chantelle, Rayven and Winter of Beattie, Kansas and Colin Locke of Topeka: two brothers, Robert Locke in Windham, Connecticut, and Douglas Locke in Mosinee, Wisconsin.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Travis Locke who passed away at birth, his wife Beverly and his parents.

Memorial services will be held at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas 66608 on Tuesday, January 27th at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
