Kaylia Sue Zirkle, 81, of Topeka, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026.

She was born July 13, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Milton C. and Frances H. (Bateson) Miller. She attended Quincy Elementary and Curtis Junior High School in Topeka.

Kaylia was employed by Andrews Asphalt and Construction in Topeka until retiring.

She was a member of LiUNA! International Union of North America, Local Union No. 1290.

Kaylia married Larry G. Zirkle. They later divorced. Survivors include her son, Larry Zirkle of Topeka, her daughter, Wendy Zirkle (Marty Neal) of Caldwell, KS; four grandchildren, Cody Zirkle, Natasha (Steve) DeVries, Trey Schulz and Amanda Schulz; and seven great-grandchildren, Ayla Huske-Zirkle, Royce Huske-Zirkle, Halo DeVries-Zirkle, Braxton Pothuisje, Emma Whittum and Ezekiel Schulz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Curtis L. Zirkle, her grandson, Travis Zirkle; her sister, Pam Miller; and her brothers, Gary and Charles Miller.

Kaylia was a cherished soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She treasured the moments spent surrounded by her beloved family, where laughter and love filled the air. Her hands brought warmth to many through the art of knitting and crocheting, creating not just crafts but lasting memories. A true nature enthusiast, Kaylia delighted in the beauty of the outdoors, often embracing the serenity of camping under the open sky. Her gentle spirit and love for life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Cremation is planned. A celebration of life is pending at the Sunrise Optimist Event Center, 720 north west, Topeka, KS 66617. Please check back for more information.

Inurnment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Berryton, Berryton, Kansas at a late date.
