With solemn hearts and profound reverence, we announce the passing of Julia Marilyn Hall, a beloved daughter of Topeka, Kansas, who was born on September 1, 1939, and was called home to our Heavenly Father on April 9, 2026, in the very city of her birth. Julia’s earthly journey was marked by steadfast faith, boundless love, and a vibrant soul that touched many lives.
Julia was a shining light of God’s grace, a devoted Christian whose life was a testament to the love and teachings of the Lord. Her spirit radiated through her active involvement in the body of Christ, having been a cherished member of Meridian Baptist Church during her time in Tennessee and later faithfully attended Northland Christian Church. Her devotion to Scripture and her heart for praising the Lord were evident in every aspect of her life.
Educated at Topeka High School and a proud graduate of Washburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree, Julia’s career path reflected her dedication to service. She worked with commitment and integrity first at Security Benefit and subsequently as a Customer Service Representative for Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Yet, beyond her professional achievements, she embodied the love of Christ most profoundly as a foster parent, opening her heart and home to many children in need—a living example of God’s command to love and care for the least among us.
Julia’s personality was a divine gift: outgoing, fun, eccentric, and blessed with a big heart. She was a woman who embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. Her passions were many and varied but always tied to the beauty of God’s creation and the love of His people. She absolutely loved to golf, delighted in all things Disney, and found joy in travel and adventure. Julia’s love extended to all creatures great and small—birds, cats, dogs—and her fierce love for people was unmatched. Her family and grandchildren held a special place in her heart above all else. With a keen eye and loving heart, she captured treasured moments through photography, immortalizing weddings and cherished memories.
Julia’s earthly sojourn was graced by her role as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, foster parent, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hall, who left this world in January 1997; her parents, Harold Parker Lowe and Clara Marie (Speck) Lowe; her brother, Harold M. Lowe M.D.; and her grandchild, Kathrine Heath.
She leaves behind a blessed legacy of love through her daughter, Diana (Mike) Redmann; her niece, Terri Gustafson; her sister-in-law, Diana Gustafson-Lowe; and her grandchildren, Kristine Norton and Michael Redmann, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who continue to carry forward her spirit and devotion.
The Lord’s faithful servant was called to rest on April 9, and we will gather to celebrate her life on April 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Parker-Price & Davidson, located at 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. In this sacred time, we will honor Julia’s journey, thanking God for the gift of her life and finding comfort in His everlasting promises.
“As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will stand upon the earth.” — Job 19:25
May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of all who mourn Julia’s passing. We rejoice in the hope of the resurrection, where we shall meet again in the glorious presence of our Lord. Rest in eternal peace, dear Julia Marilyn Hall, until that day. Amen.
