Joyce Pauline Schober

Joyce P. Schober, age 68, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Topeka.  Joyce was born August 19, 1953 in Seneca, KS the daughter of Sylvester and Winifred (Sack) Heinen.  She graduated from Centralia High School in 1971.  She married Raymond “Fred” Schober, Jr. August 3, 1974 in Corning, KS.  He preceded her in death June 30, 2014.  Joyce worked as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital for over 42 years, mostly in the New Life Center.  Joyce was a member of the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Topeka.

She is survived by two sons, Nicholas (Amanda) Schober of Olathe, Neil (Dara) Schober of Topeka; two daughters, Melanie (Paul Stambaugh) Eyman of Topeka, Janelle (Greg) Wessel of Topeka; two brothers, Steven Heinen of Wamego, Alan Heinen of Corning; a sister, Linda TenEyck of Wamego; and 13 grandchildren that she loved very much.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mother of Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Topeka.  Rosary will be prayed Friday at 5:00 p.m. and followed with visitation from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church or Loving Hearts and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com
