Joshua Anthony Stockman

Joshua Anthony Stockman, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on August 23, 2026, in Topeka.

He was born on October 4, 2007. Joshua graduated from Highland Park High School. He was working with a recruiter and had recently passed the written exam to serve in the United States Army.

Joshua was a young man who found happiness in the things he loved. He could often be found outdoors with a fishing pole in his hand, enjoying one of his favorite places, Clarion Lake. Fishing gave Joshua the chance to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and simply be himself.

Basketball was another one of Joshua's great loves. He could spend hours on the court playing with his little brother and friends, creating the kind of memories that will live on long after the games are over. His love of sports began when he was just a little boy playing t-ball and continued through baseball, where he enjoyed being part of the game and the friendships that came with it.

When Joshua wasn't outside fishing or playing sports, there was a good chance he was at home playing video games. What started as a favorite pastime became another way for Joshua to connect with his siblings. The games often turned into family competitions, filled with laughter, playful rivalry, and time spent together. Those ordinary moments are now among the memories his family will treasure most.

Joshua also had a style all his own. He took pride in his appearance and was especially known for his impressive shoe collection. His personality could be seen in the things he chose, the way he carried himself, and the interests that made him uniquely Joshua. His smile was one of a kind and made people feel welcome in his presence.

He leaves behind his parents, Jamie Kalina and Ian Owens; his siblings, Jorden Owens, Dominic Owens, Jeremiah Kalina, Landon Huxman, Amme Owens, Lilian Owens, Giovonni Owens and Hope Owens; grandparents, Judi Dunn, Ronald Kalina, Roseann (Phillip) Estrada, Steven (Penny) Owens, Karla Lathrom and Mike Lathrom; great grandmother, Virginia Gifford; uncles, Jason Dale, Israel (Sarah Rowh) Owens, Paden Owens, Pete (Ehllee Buckholtz), Tommy Lathrom; his significant other, Ma'Kahyla Rias; one daughter and biological father, Kurt Stockman. He was precded in death by his uncle, Joshua Kalina and aunt, Summer Lathrom.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66608. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 1:00pm at Parker-Price & Davidson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
