John William Lyons, 81, Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016. He was born March 7, 1935, at Ashdown, Arkansas, the son of Walter and Ruth Lee (Sewell) Lyons.
John retired from Cargill Grain Elevator..
John married Louise Mary Kelly. They had been married 56 years when she died on October 31, 2013.
Surviving is a son, Gary John Lyons of Topeka.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Prairie Home Cemetery, NW 35th & Menoken Road.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence.
