Johnny Davis was born on November 7, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas and remained there the rest of his life. Johnny pursed many talents and interest throughout his lifetime which included photography, writing on various subjects and he was an amazing artist. Johnny was also an accomplished musician, playing several stringed instruments such as the five-stringed banjo, bass guitar, and the mandolin. He enjoyed playing music in various night clubs and was also a radio DJ in his earlier years. He was also a great lover of animals.
He was a member of the Topeka City Council at one time and the Seaman Community Church.
Johnny is survived by one sister, Gerri Crump and one brother, Monte Davis, both of Abilene, Kansas; three nephews; three nieces; and eight great nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Davis; his father, Phillip Davis and his mother Goldie (Davis) Lynn; and a great niece, all of Topeka.
Mr. Davis will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka. www.davidsonfuneral.com
