Jim Suwalski

Jim M. Suwalski, 80, of Topeka passed away on Monday August 10, 2026. Jim was born in Topeka on January 28, 1946 the son of George Suwalski and Adelia Pontius. He was raised in Topeka. While growing up Jim enjoyed spending time working on cars. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1964.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He later worked as an electrician at various Coal Mines in Utah, for the Topeka Pump Company and the State of Kansas. Later Jim and his wife co-owned two bars.

After retirement he enjoyed keeping busy, keeping up his home, gardening, working on his model ships, fishing at the state lake, and working on his MGB.

He was married to Sharon Zayac on April 18, 2005 at Miami, Oklahoma.

Jim is survived by his wife Sharon of Topeka; daughters, Dana Sobottka in Wisconsin and Candie Kolbek of Topeka; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Inurnment will be held on Monday, August, 17th at 2:00 pm. Parker-Price & Davidson Cremations, Funerals and Receptions is assisting the family.
