Jerry Kendall of Topeka passed away on Monday, April 29, 2025 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born January 31, 1931 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma the son of Clyde and Elsie Eddy Kendall. Jerry graduated from Corder, Missouri High School in 1949. He entered the Air Force and served during the Korean War. He returned to attended college at the University of Kansas. There he received a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1962. He began a long career with Kansas Power and Light in 1992. He had lived in Topeka since moving here in 1955. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #555 and Capitol Post #1 of the American Legion.
He was married to Theresa R. Gauthier on December 30, 1955 in Illinois.
Survivors include his wife Theresa (Terry); daughter, Tina Delgado; one sister, Glenda Kendall; one granddaughter and three grandsons.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his son, James Kendall in 1995; his brother, Sam Kendall in 2002 and sister, Jonetta Clifton in 2017.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later time. Inurnment will be held later at Memorial Park Cemetery.
