Jerry Ireland

Jerry L. Ireland, 76, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his home.  He was born October 22, 1946, the son of Earl H. Ireland, Sr. and Viola Babcock Ireland.  He lived in Topeka his whole life. He was a construction worker and had worked for Bob Florence construction.  He was preceded in death by his father in 2007 and brother Earl “Butch” H. Ireland in 2005.  Survivors include his daughter Chris Hammer (Jason) of Rossville; his mother, Viola Ireland of Topeka; 3 Stepchildren Melissa Gerety (Heather) of Topeka, Angela Beckwith of Topeka, and Michael Beckwith of Topeka; three sisters Deloris Walthall of Meriden, Viola Degand of Topeka, and Sharon Allison of Topeka; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned.  Private inurnment services will be held at a later date.
