James C. Nelson

James C. Nelson, Jr., died on December 4, 2020 at Midland Hospice.  He was born June 16, 1962 the son of Mr. and Mrs. James C. and Bessie M. Nelson, Sr. in Topeka.  He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1981.  Jim worked for over 20 years for Capital City Moving and Storage.   Jim was a member of Restoration House Church.   He enjoyed working on cars and fixing them for family and friends.  He loved animals and still has a big brown dog Maggie.  He enjoyed watching TV and movies especially during the time of his failing health.  Science fiction was a favorite of his and he enjoyed Star Trek the most.

He is survived by his brother Pete Nelson of Topeka and two nephews, Chad Nelson (Royce) of Mayetta and Jordan Nelson (Dayana) of Elgin, Oklahoma.   Several great nieces and nephews along with his cousins survive.

Jim was cremated.   Homegoing services are pending.   Memorial contributions may be made to Restoration House Church, 2213 SW 10th Ave. Topeka, KS  66604.
