Helen Jean Beyer

Helen J. Beyer, age 76, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Midland Hospice in Topeka. Helen was born June 3, 1941 in Nebraska City, NE the daughter of Francis Mathew and Alvina Elizabeth Schmitz Bourg. She graduated from Benson High School in Omaha in 1959. She married Carl Beyer October 22, 1968 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Helen was a longtime employee of Walmart in Topeka. She is survived by her husband Carl of 48 years; two sons, Craig (Sharon) Beyer and Chane (Cristi) Beyer, both of Silver Lake; a brother, Melvin (Charlotte) Bourg of Colorado; two sisters, Arlene Charon of Texas and Elaine of Arizona; two sister in laws, Peggy Bourg and Naomi Bourg, both of Omaha and three grandchildren, Megan, Addison and Jack.

She will lie in state Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Belleville Cemetery in Bellville, KS.
