Harold D. Hockenbarger

Harold Dean Hockenbarger, 70, of Topeka passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025. He was born September 5, 1955 in Topeka the son of Charles “Bill” and Mary Schwemmer Hockenbarger. He grew up in North Topeka and attended Pleasant Hill Grade School, Northern Hills Junior High and graduated from Seaman High School in 1973.

Harold worked at M&M Auto Salvage Yard, Payless Cashways and was a mechanic at a car dealership before retiring. Harold served the Kansas National Guard.

He attended Heartland Worship Center in North Topeka. He enjoyed fishing.

On August 2, 1980 his married Cathie Colvin in his parent’s yard. Cathie preceded him in death on September 7, 2014.

Survivors include his son Craig who lives in the Boston area; his sister Carol Bogard and husband Don of Topeka; brother Karl Hockenbarger of Topeka and grandchildren, Lizabeth Hockenbarger and Clayton Hockenbarger of Harper, Kansas
