Harold Joseph “Worm” Halstead, 77, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
He was born January 28, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Lloyd E. and Bertha P. (Rabe) Halstead. He attended Topeka schools.
Harold was an over the road truck driver and later employed by City of Topeka where he was a member of Teamsters Local No. 696 for over 20 years until retiring.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka and an active member of Boozefighters Motorcycle Club of Osage County, KS, Chapter 49 for 20 years.
Harold married Kathryn Wagner on July 7, 1969, in Miami, OK. She survives in Topeka. Other survivors include two children, Joseph Halstead and Ashley Halstead (Tison) all of Topeka; 15 grandchildren, David, Trenton, Cierra, Zachary, Jacobe, Jeffrey, Luis, Analicia, Tila, TiGianna, Tomasa, Teresa, Adela, Jose and Erek; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tammy Wagner.
Harold loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and devoted to his club brothers. He also enjoyed racing drag cars, fishing, camping and collecting Street Rods.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Parker-Price & Davidson Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Parker-Price & Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka, KS.

Following the interment a reception with refreshments will be at Garfield Community Center, Garfield Park, 1600 NE Quincy St., Topeka, KS 66608. The family looks forward to seeing you there. After the reception, the Celebration of Harold's life will continue at The Clubhouse in Lyndon, KS.
