Hananiah I. Owens, age 32, of Topeka, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City. Hananiah was born July 27, 1988 in Wichita the son of William and Karen (Patton) Owens. Hananiah graduated from Seaman High School in 2008. He then graduated from Kaw Valley Technical School. He worked at Express Card and Label as a press operator. Hananiah attended Topeka Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Bill Owens and Karen Owens; the mother of his children, Valerie Sowers; a son, Quentin “Q” Owens; a daughter, Tabatha “Tabby” Owens; a brother, Joe Owens and maternal grandparents, Nolan and Elizabeth Patton. Hananiah enjoyed being a dad. He loved to fish and watch K.U. Basketball. He enjoyed working with Quentin with Boy Scouts and Tabatha’s dance.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Heights Christian Church. Visitation will be one hour before the services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Quentin and Tabatha Owens Scholarship Fund, payable to Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
