Gregory Dean Hoefer, known to most as Greg, passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 71. Greg was born on December 12, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas, to Robert and Laveda Hoefer.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Pam Hoefer, and his son, Troy Hoefer. He is survived by his wife, Ramona Rosetta Hoefer; his sons Jeff (Beth) Hoefer and Brian (Erin) Hoefer; his daughter-in-law Ashley Hoefer; his grandchildren, Deyton, Grace, Max, Lauren, Natalie, Charlotte, Lillian, and Townzen; sister Bobbi Hicks (Bob, deceased), and nephew Brett (Diana) Hicks, and niece Tara (Jarrod) Florence.

Greg attended Highland Park High School, graduating with the class of 1973. Following graduation, he joined his father in the family business, R&B Aircraft, located at Philip Billard Airport. Over the course of more than 40 years, Greg built a respected career as an aircraft mechanic and painter, eventually taking ownership of the business. His dedication to his craft and pride in his work were evident to all who knew him. He retired in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and excellence.

Greg found great joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He loved motorcycle trips with family and friends, creating lasting memories on the open road. He treasured time spent at Table Rock Lake while raising his family, and he enjoyed skiing adventures in Colorado. Greg was also an active member of several bowling leagues, where he formed lifelong friendships and celebrated many achievements, including 5 perfect games.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held in the chapel at Mount Hope Cemetery located at 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Ave; Topeka, KS 66608 is assisting the family.
