Gerald Wayne Flynn

Gerald W. Flynn, age 58, of Topeka passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Topeka. Gerald was born April 8, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of James and Annie (Shipp) Flynn. He married Mary Rygaard November 7, 1981 in Topeka. Gerald worked as a pipefitter in St. Louis and as a CNA at several care homes, such as Westwood Manor in Topeka.

He is survived by his wife of over 38 years, Mary Flynn of Topeka; a son, Jared Flynn of Topeka; two daughters, Crystal (Jason) Hetherington and Stasia Flynn, both of Topeka; five brothers, James Flynn, Michael Flynn, Gerald Von Pertz, Robert Price and Parm Price; five sisters, Sherian Ackley, Marie Brumley, Linda Avalos, Jeanine Cherry and Janice Frei; and six grandchildren, Camron, Tay’Veon, Jared, Jr., Brooklyn, Brian, Jr. and soon to be here, Briella . He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Flynn and a sister, Julie Richter. Gerald enjoyed listening to music, going to the casino and telling jokes.

Visitation and viewing will be Friday, November 29, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highland Heights Christian Church.
