Genevieve A. Heston

Genevieve A. Heston, age 86, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Plaza West Care Home. Genevieve was born March 27, 1932 in Topeka the daughter of Albert and Agnes Seigfried Hefner. She married Albert Heston Jr. May 20, 1950 in Topeka. He preceded her in death August 11, 2014 after 64 years of marriage. Genevieve is survived by four sons, Stephen M. (Linda) Heston of Topeka, Robert J. (Julie) Heston of Topeka, Albert E. (Melani) Heston of Topeka and Frederick A. (Debbie) Heston of Derby, KS; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Heston of Topeka; a brother, Harry Hefner of Topeka; sister, Ruth M. Covert of Topeka; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary September 13, 2017 and a granddaughter, Kelsey Heston. A special thanks to Plaza West staff for their wonderful care, especially Cindy and Kristie.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Topeka Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
