Frank Emerson Quaney Jr.

Frank E. Quaney, Jr, age 93, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his home. Frank was born July 19, 1924 in Topeka, son of Frank Quaney Sr. and Lillian Jordon Quaney. Frank graduated from Topeka High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in Germany. He married Ethel Hupe September 26, 1953 in Topeka. Frank owned and operated IGA grocery stores in Perry and Topeka. He served as President of the Associated Wholesale Grocers in Kansas City. Frank and Ethel were active members of the Perry United Methodist Church where they were active with the youth group. He also was active with the Boy Scouts for over 20 years.

Frank is survived by his wife Ethel of over 63 years; two sisters, Dorothy Warner and Katie Hill, both of Topeka along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a sister, Marge EyLander.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Private interment will be Monday, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry.
